Academic Credits for Study-Abroad |
Contact the Dean of the Foreign language department or Study
Abroad office or International Office at your college/university prior to starting the program. Present your plan and ask exactly what is required in order to be assured that you will earn credits for your studies abroad. Take special note of the requirement, as you will have to follow them in order to obtain credits. Please inform us ahead of time and at your first of class about the requirements. BRAZIL: University credits for Study-Abroad |
We are pleased to offer the option of earning recognized
US college credits for Portuguese language studies at either locations in
Brazil. We can grant credit directly to students enrolled in an accredited
university, or they can go through one of our programs with University
credits from Brookhaven College or the University of Alabama. students may
earn up to 14 credit hours. |

PORTUGAL: University credits for Study-Abroad |
Over the years, the Portuguese courses have been recognized by several US Universities, though we have a formal agreement with any university. |
What we do is have students take our program syllabus to the language department or International office of their home University for evaluation and credit approval. |
The program is usually approved through this method, and then we have the transcript forwarded to the student's home university at th completion of our course. Contact us for more information. |

CSN - Sweden |
The
majority of our language schools are recognized by the Swedish
government for further education (CSN) -
Swedish. These courses follow the requirements of the Swedish CSN,
concerning the duration, amount of hours, and the evaluation of the
acquired knowledge. Our services include filling out the subscription
form for the CSN and sending it to you without any further delay. Special conditions - The course has to be of a minimum duration of 13 weeks - The course offers a minimum of 15 hours per week - You will have to sit an exam at the end of your course Courses accredited by the CSN are provided a discount of 10% of course and Shared Apartment lodging costs. LåNEKASSEN NORWEGIAN SCHOLARSHIP |
Lånekassen
is the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund. It is given as a loan, but
40 percent of the loan can be converted to a grant upon passing the
exam(s) / completion of education. Students from Norway with Norwegian
citizenship are entitled to receive financial aid from Lånekassen for
their language study abroad. Qualifying language courses should be a minimum of 20 lesson per week for a minimum of 4 weeks at the local language centre. Lånekassen language study courses always end with an obligatory oral and written language test which shows whether or not the student has achieved efficient competence in their language studies. The

Bildungsurlaub » (further
education for professionals) by several States in Germany.
This is a program in which German employees can
take additional5-10 days of paid vacation in 2 years. Bildungsurlaub courses
are recognized by the German government in 12 German federal states (Berlin,
Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hessen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Niedersachsen,
Nordrhein-Westfalen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Saarland, Sachsen-Anhalt,
Schleswig-Holstein). Employees who live and work in these federal states can
solicit Bildungsurlaub to participate in one of our courses related to their
