Our Portuguese programs feature high quality Portuguese language teaching, combining flexibility, competence and friendliness. Our programs aim to provide students with a full cultural and language experience. Teachers are friendly yet highly professional. Refresher courses are held regularly to bring staff up-to-date in techniques and materials.

The method places specific emphasis on language for communication. It can be described as structural/functional, the grammar and structures being taught and learned naturally, through practical usage.

Students are encouraged to use audio, video and library facilities in order to practice language skills.

Portuguese Language and Culture Group Courses are organized in modules of 4 weeks. Every month Groups start at all levels (from Beginner to Advanced). Courses are progressive from the starting dates, but apart from absolute beginners who must begin on the starting dates, students can join a group at any time if vacancies exist at the suitable level.

Beginners start: Jan 7 & 21 , Feb 4 & 18, Mar 4, May 6 & 20, Jun 3 & 17. Jul 1 & 15, Aug 5, Sep 2, 16 & 30, Oct 14 & 28, Nov 11 & 25, Dec 9.

Groups have a maximum of 6 participants so that monitoring and assessment are continuous and personalized.

The entire General Portuguese course consists of 6 levels (Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Pre-Advanced, Advanced) of 60 hours each.

There are certificates offered for courses taken at all level.

Attendance Certificate - At all levels and courses.
Level Certificate - At all levels, after Test.
Intermediate Diploma - after Exam after the Intermediate level.
Advanced Diploma - after Exam after the Advance level.

LANGUAGE PROGRAMS

Portuguese Online (via Skype)

Individual lessons using distance learning (via Skype) for students with some previous knowledge of Portuguese. Lessons are split into 1.5 hour sessions:

- 1 hour of interaction with the teacher and 30 minutes for practicing writing skills using a chat program (with the teacher).

This course runs in blocks of a minimum of 10 lessons (15 hrs). Each teaching hour lasts for 50 minutes.

Portuguese Semi Standard

Group instructed 10 hours/week of Portuguese Language and Culture from Monday to Friday. It is recommended for students who wish to combine language learning with a real life experience of the Portuguese culture, thus, it allows enough time for students to get fully acquainted to the city and the Portuguese cultures surrounding it.

Portuguese Standard

Group instructed 15 hours/week of Portuguese Language and Culture from Monday to Friday. It is recommended for students who wish to combine language learning with a real life experience of the Portuguese culture, thus, it allows enough time for students to get fully acquainted to the city and the Portuguese cultures surrounding it. Classes challenge students apply their knowledge of theory by means of various methods ranging from situation and role-playing activities to debates about current issues.

Portuguese Standard Plus

Group instructed 15 hours/week + 5 hours/week of individual classes of Portuguese Language and Culture from Monday to Friday. Especially for highly motivated students who desire extra training or attention on specific subject areas.

Portuguese Super Standard

Group instructed 15 hours/week + 10 hours/week of individual classes of Portuguese Language and Culture from Monday to Friday. Especially for highly motivated students who desire extra training or attention on specific subject areas. It is of similar nature to the classes described above.

Portuguese Intensive

Group instructed 15 hours/week + 15 hours/week of individual classes of Portuguese Language from Monday to Friday. Especially for highly motivated students who desire extra training or attention on specific subject areas. It is of similar nature to the classes described above.

Portuguese Super Intensive

Group instructed 25 hours/week of Portuguese Language and Culture from Monday to Friday. Especially for highly motivated students who wish to learn as much Portuguese in a short time.

Portuguese Intensive Plus

Group instructed 30 hours/week of Portuguese Language and Culture from Monday to Friday. Courses are available June through September. Designed for people with little time and the need to practice even more in little time, thus, the courses encourages quick progress in Portuguese communication. Beginners start, June 1, July 6, Aug 3, Aug 31

Portuguese Super Intensive Plus

Group instructed 35 hours/week of Portuguese Language and Culture from Monday to Friday. Especially for highly motivated students who wish to learn as much Portuguese in a short time.

Individual (One to One) Portuguese/Private Group

Individual are course followed by one person, while Private Group are course followed by two persons. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 or 50 hours/week. Tailor-made private classes for highly motivated persons who need to advance rapidly in a specific area of study but in little available time. You decide how many classes you want and what you wish to study. These courses aim at providing students with a further spoken and written language practice while exploring a specific field. Themes:

This program attracts the voyagers in students. It allows for students to choose from the list of courses that we offer in our schools and distribute the learning experience among the different locations. By combining a course from among these different cities, one will learn Portuguese and have the opportunity to know the rich variety of Portuguese cultures at the same time. Plus, it makes for great city hopping.

FOCUS PROGRAMS

Portuguese For Teachers [Ensino de Portugues Língua Estrangeira (EPLE)]

Course designed for native and non-native teachers of Portuguese a Foreign Language in public or private institutions in or outside Portugal. . 2 weeks' duration with 6h/day of lessons. We may organize an EPLE course on any date for a minimum of 4 students.

Business Portuguese

If you want to work in a Portuguese-speaking work environment or aspire to an international career, then, this is a good course for you. Course designed for students in the business world. You will familiarize yourself with the relevant jargon, increase your knowledge of the field and learn specific skills of the trade. It is Group instructed 3 hour/day classes of Standard Portuguese + 1 individual class per day of business Portuguese from Monday to Friday.

EASTER & SUMMER Course

Theses 2-week program consists of 3 hours of Group classes per day in Portuguese language and culture and is held only during the holiday period of Easter and the Summer. Group courses features a maximum of 12 participants. It is good ways to get to know and to enjoy the way the Portuguese celebrates these dates, while you practice your Portuguese.

African Portuguese

The course focuses on Portuguese in Africa. It is either taught by Individual (One-to-One) lessons or as Private Group. Specific materials and experienced teachers of African origin or background.

This program is taught either as Individual (One-to-One) lessons or as Private Group. Taught with materials specific to the Brazilian Portuguese language and by experienced teachers of Brazilian origin.

Gastronomy Portuguese

Learn how to make popular authentic Portuguese dishes. Get to know Portuguese cuisine. Typical dishes, wines, sweets and cheeses. Learn how to cook them, do it and eat them with your colleagues. There are 8 hours of class offered per week.
