This Work & Study program combines a English course (4 weeks minimum) in several NIK|LAS destination with a job placement after your course in the region of London or Dublin. 
 
We offer young student travellers the opportunity to experience the English culture firsthand. Learn or improve your English language skills with an in-country course, and later put your new skills to good use while you work in one of the most famous areas of Great Britain.

After your English course (Standard) you will have the opportunity to work, allowing you to practise your English while financing your stay in the UK.
 

Candidate's Profile

This program is opened to EU members (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, )  ICELAND, NORWAY, SWITZERLAND, and LIECHTENSTEIN Except:  Bulgaria, Romania

Age between 18-30 years. 

 
Structure of the Program
The NIK|LAS.com Study & Work Program consists of 2 phases:

1st: Minimum 4 weeks of Standard English language (available in London, Dublin, Oxford).
2nd: The Work placement may last 2-12 months or more (available in Belfast, London, Scotland, Dublin - Republic of Ireland). 
 
I Part - Course

After your English course (Standard) you will have the opportunity to work in Belfast, allowing you to practice your English while financing your stay.

Location: London, Dublin, Oxford

 
II Part: The Work Placement Period

This is a paid placement with a great opportunity to practice the language and gain international work experience, while you receive financial compensation. Doing the program for several months will give you time to really integrate and build relationships with peers. The position will depend on your English skills, motivation, length of stay, as well as your references.

The purpose of the program is that participants develop their skills while working to improve language, learning to deal with a new culture.

Minimum wage per hour:      Approx. £4.98/hour - £6.08/hour  (40 -45 hrs/wk)

Type of Positions: Bartender, Waiter/Waitress, Receptionist, Kitchen assistant, Waiters’ Assistant (Runner), Hostess (in restaurants, cafes, bars, airport, ...), “Fast Food” restaurant, 4 star hotels, Stores, Animator, Maintenance, etc.

The work period will be: 2 to 12 months.

Start Dates:  February - November

On-site Language Skill exam fee: $250 USD (For non-beginners, who skip the language course phase)

Placement Fee: $1040 USD
